A study published in Advances in Nutrition found that catechins boost the liver's ability to burn body fat into energy. The study examined participants who worked out at least 25 minutes every day. During the study, half of the participants consumed four to five cups of tea per day. The participants that drank green tea lost an average of 2 pounds more than those that only exercised.
Obtained from the flowers of M chamomilla, chamomile tea is loaded with antioxidants and beneficial nutrients, including anti-obesity properties. The tea has anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, sleep-inducing, and anti-anxiety properties. Hence, drinking this herbal tea can help promote sleep, relieve anxiety and depression, which can cause overeating and result in weight gain.
“The health benefits of green tea have been widely promoted and it has been known for some time that EGCG can alter the structures of amyloid plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease,” said David Middleton, Professor at Britain's Lancaster University. “Our results show that this intriguing compound might also be effective against the types of plaques which can cause heart attacks and strokes,” he added
Sleep’s a big deal. Losing a mere hour of shut-eye over the course of three days is enough to negatively impact the body’s hunger and appetite-regulating hormone, ghrelin. Quality sleep, on the other hand, fuels the production of fat-burning hormones, making it a top priority if you’re trying to drop a few pounds. Valerian is an herb that’s long been valued as a mild sedative, and now research is showing what tea enthusiasts have known for centuries. In a study of women, researchers gave half the test subjects a valerian extract, and half a placebo. Thirty percent of those who received valerian reported an improvement in the quality of their sleep, versus just 4 percent of the control group.

Dieter’s tea refers to many different brands of beverages carrying names such as herbal dieter’s tea, dieter’s drink, super dieter’s tea or similar variations. Below the name on the label, you’ll usually see a tagline telling you that the drink offers herbal support to promote cleansing. These dieter’s teas are primarily laxatives, and the laxative they contain can cause serious side effects, such as depleting your potassium and affecting muscles in your colon.
ok so usually I don't do this but I wanted to share my progress with these green tea pills because I am very happy with the results so far. so I started taking these on 2/22/16 weighing in at 394.4 taking 4 pills a day, now I did not always take them before I ate but I took them every day with about 2ltrs of water a day and I weighed in this morning 3/7/16 at 386.4 ;) KEEP IN MIND not only do I drink 2ltrs of water a day but the same day I started taking the pills is the same day I started a low carb diet eating no more then 50-100 carbs a day most of the time I stay under 50 carbs and I also started working out 3-4 times a week so it’s not just the pills BUT they definitely work with boosting my metabolism and curbing my appetite.....so all in all I love these pills and I don’t have any side effect AT ALL but then again I only been taking the pills for two weeks so I will continue to take the pills and I will keep you updated with my progress. Please do not judge me and my weight I’m only sharing my progress because I feel like a lot of these reviews are paid reviews and lies and people need to know that these really do work but everybody is different what works for me may not work for you, I will update on 3/21/16 on my next weigh in.
I like to have a hot cup of tea in the morning and after reading the ingredients of this tea thought it will taste good enough. I hadn't had detox or even weight loss in mind. After drinking the first glass I fell in love with the flavor. I add a drop of honey for a little sweetness. To my amazement after having 1 cup every day for a month without any other changes I have actually lost almost 10 lbs. Since I really like the tea I have order a 90 day supply so we shall see what happens. No matter what the tea is wonderful in the morning.
I drank this tea for more then 2 wks and people notice my belly went down a bit. I Drink after breakfast and before bed. It does not work as a laxative which is good. I do try to eat less which helps, you can't eat alot of non healthy foods cause you will not get any results. ( I AM NOT A DIET PERSON). It makes me gassy and at times through the day it gives me stomach pain ( LIKE I have to poop) but that's ok cause I want results!!
Detox teas that combine caffeine with diuretics can trigger the loss of water weight. Just two cups of water weighs one pound on a scale, so shedding fluid can make you look and feel lighter–even if you haven't lost an ounce of body fat. Detox teas can also trigger a laxative effect, which causes your body to eliminate waste from your GI tract, another result that can make your stomach flatter, and allow you to feel lighter, even if your lean-to-fat ratio remains exactly the same. If this quick-fix effect gives you the confidence boost and motivation you need to start eating healthier and working out–the real keys to getting healthy and lean–terrific (assuming the teas are even safe to drink–see below). Just remember: If you go back to your former less-than-stellar eating or exercise habits, or stop drinking the tea, you can gain the weight right back just as quick as you dropped it.
Chamomile-and-lavender tea wards off fatigue and depression by reducing the stress that comes with insomnia. And reduced stress prevents increased levels of inflammation, which have been directly tied to weight and blood sugar disorders like obesity and diabetes. One German study found that chamomile tea significantly improved the physical symptoms related to a lack of sleep, and even helped reduced levels of depression in the chronically sleep-deprived. Another study found that it improved daytime wakefulness in people who suffered from a lack of sleep. Here’s the funny thing about chamomile: Although it’s the most popular tea for bedtime, there’s actually no evidence that it improves the length or quality of sleep.
Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus), Ginger (Zingiber Officinale), Anise (Pimpinella Anisum), Tamarind (Tamarindus Indica), Red Raspberry (Rubus Idaeus), Cranberry, Blackberry, Knapweeds (Centaurea), Cornflower(Cyanus), Chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita), Ginseng (Panax Ginseng), Rose Hips (Rosa Canina Fructus), Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon Citratus), Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare)
Se Chung Tea is a blend of several loose-leaf, oolong tea leaves produced from plucks of several different plants. The leaves are naturally withered under the strong sun, oxidized until brown with green highlights, and then wrap rolled into small beads. The Se Chung Oolong tea has a roasted aroma and a thick, woody flavor. It is a great tea for those who enjoy a complex taste and have an adventurous palate.
So, should you run out and buy diet tea? Well, first of all, we like that many of these weight-loss products are in common stores. It’s also nice to see that some of these teas contain only natural herbs. On the other hand, we have some reservations about them because no solid science typically backs them. Also, we’re concerned about the short-term results. Not to mention the side effects that some people experience.

Not only is ginger one of the healthiest spices on the planet, but it also fights inflammation. According to numerous studies, ginger, traditionally used to ease stomach pain, blocks several genes and enzymes in the body that promote bloat-causing inflammation. This means you can enjoy that second serving of nutrient-dense veggies without worry. If you prefer the taste of chai tea, typically made from a blend of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger, that may also do the trick—but may be less potent.
Green tea is loaded with antioxidants and various substances that are beneficial for health. Many studies have proven that green tea can help burn fat and help you lose weight. The presence of caffeine, which is well-known stimulant is said to aid fat burning and improve exercise performance in numerous studies. The active compounds in green tea can aid in this process by boosting the effects of some burning hormones.
A study that appeared in the Journal of Research in Medical Sciences showed that drinking green tea consistently leads to weight loss. Researchers examined 63 individuals who were divided into three groups—a control group and two experimental groups. The study spanned a period of 2 months. One experimental group consumed 2 cups of green tea per day while the other group consumed 4 cups of green tea per day. Results showed that the group with the highest level of green tea consumption lost the most weight.
Most common complaints are that consumers don’t achieve desired results in a specific time frame. To avoid this, follow the diet tea instructions exactly to accurately judge if a diet tea brand is right for you. Also be sure to maintain a balanced diet and drink plenty of water as this often can offset results if not followed. Results vary from company to company.
Blending green tea and avocado makes for an excellent combination of protein, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. Just combine a tablespoon of green tea, half an avocado, one banana, and enough hot water for everything to blend well (about half a cup). Seep the green tea in the heated water for half an hour, and process everything together in the blender to create a subtly sweet breakfast smoothie.
Ashwagandha tea gives you a better outlook on life and reduces stress hormones that can wreak havoc on your waistline. A study published in the *Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine* found that “Ashwagandha root extract safely and effectively improves an individual's resistance towards stress and thereby improves self-assessed quality of life.” When it comes to weight loss, stress is not your friend. A recent study at Penn State found that people who react badly to stressful situations have increased levels of inflammation in their bodies—and inflammation is directly tied to obesity, as well as diseases like diabetes, heart disease and cancer. When anxiety rides high, you’re also at the mercy of stress hormones such as cortisol—known as “the belly fat hormone” for its ability to pull lipids from the bloodstream and store them in our fat cells.
