I just experienced my first colonic.. Let’s just say my experience was almost as you described except towards the end.. I started cramping and had the extreme urge to push.. I had to request for the technician to stop the process. . And ran like holy hell bathroom. . During my purge. . I prayed to porcelain gods to see me thru. And vowed never again to do this.. 10 flushes later and gum.. I vacated the bathroom to hear the hysterical laughter of my friends. . Apparently I prayed very loud. After another 5 minutes I started to feel better. Enduring an hour train ride home (why did I pick a center in Washington heights.) Upon reaching home, I called the center to book another appointment! ! I definitely am going back.. And yes I feel 10 pounds lighter!
I have a 14 year old (not overweight) that is not eating right, a lot of sugar, carbs, sodas and has shown low thyroid in blood tests along some liver problems. She is ADHD, but constantly complains from lack of energy, reflux and constantly hungry! Her cholesterol is high as so are her tryglycerios. She used to be interested in a lot of sports an had lots of energy. Now she feels tired and gets out of breath when she does sports, she has not gotten her period yet. I am very worried about her liver, thyroid and cholesterol and tryclycerius! Please try to recommend a program (that a 14 year old would be willing to follow!) to get her back to health!! Help!!
Note: herbal laxatives can cause temporary staining of the lining of the large intestine, a condition doctors have labeled melanosis coli -- which produces no other symptoms or problems and goes away in time. At one time, doctors used to freak out when they saw it during a colonoscopy. Now, since so many people use herbal laxatives, they don't even mention it when they see it.
Flaxseeds are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and antioxidants. The daily consumption of flaxseeds is a sure shot way to cleanse your colon due to the combined laxative effect of its compounds. While the omega-3s are wonderful for your overall health, the antioxidants and fiber in flaxseeds can help increase your bowel movements to get rid of all the toxins from your body (21), (22), (23).
Increasing both soluble and insoluble fiber can help with a wide range of gastrointestinal problems, including constipation, diverticular disease, and colorectal cancer. The typical American consumes about 15 grams a day, but you need closer to 25 grams to 30 grams. If there are no gluten issues, add sources of both insoluble fiber, such as cereal and whole grains, and soluble fiber, such as bran, some fruit, some vegetables, and oatmeal.
Periodically (approximately every six months), you will need a strong purifier and intestinal vacuum to help draw old fecal matter off the walls of your colon and out of any bowel pockets and to also draw out poisons, toxins, and heavy metals from your body. Such a formula will also remove over 3,000 known drug residues as well as radioactive residues. This is the colon detoxifier we discussed above.
I’ve had colon hydrotherapy on and off for a few years now. The place I go to in Las Vegas normally puts healthy bacteria in the final part of the session. Foot and hand massage are also performed if wanted. They also massage the stomach to help loosen areas/help water flow. At the end as you are leaving, they provide a cup of emergen C mix and cup of homemade vegetarian soup to complete your session.
For a detox diet to truly work, you need to maintain these three key organs by nourishing your body with the right nutrients. Dr. Oz’s 48-Hour Weekend Cleanse is based upon eating certain “detoxifying” foods that will keep these systems running smoothly. The plan couldn’t be simpler to follow so you’re not always focused on what to eat next. You'll need to prepare and eat the following meals and snacks two days in a row. To get ready for the weekend cleanse, print out the complete cleanse shopping list and make a trip to the supermarket. Get the shopping list here.

Maybe that’s because of the days prior to the flush day has to be well prepared to have succes on the flush day. I therefore have difficulty finding a good protocol for someone with bowel issues/adrenal fatigue (bloating, constipation, gas; all due to adrenal and thyroid issues that cause metabolic and endocrine problems and of course the Peutz Jeghers syndrome)
I’m wondering if anyone who has left comments like, can I eat during this cleanse and what are the amounts of ingredients to use, and my favorite the repeated question of can I use essential oils. Did you even read the full article?? Also try reading all of the Q&A from other people. No wonder the Doctor who gave this away for free quit answering questions. Read it in full you will find the answers and as
Hi Anne – Thanks for your comments. We understand that not everyone has the same gut issues – some people are seriously backed up and some have the exact opposite problem. Ultimately, we all seek balance within our GI tract – which means normal elimination on a regular basis and depending on our own individual GI situation the route to that “normal” can definitely vary widely. For many folks, a colon cleanse can be a very effective method to achieve GI health and balance. Of course, that doesn’t mean it is ideal for everyone. We will always recommend our products here on our UNI KEY blog as these are the only products we are intimately involved in producing. We don’t negate the fact that there are a number of other effective supplements out there on the market. And, we understand that one probiotic isn’t necessarily the best for everyone. In fact, our team has found Flora-Key to be helpful, but also take other high quality probiotics on occasion as well. However, we will not endorse other products where we can not guarantee quality standards. As a supplement company we write blogs about what we know best, our supplements! We hope you and all of our other readers can understand that and wish you the best in your health journey!
Directions Take 1 to 2 capsules at bedtime with 8 ounces of water for up to 15 days, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not repeat cleansing program for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Consult your healthcare professional if you have any existing medical conditions. Within 20 min of waking up, it is highly beneficial to drink 8oz of pure water before drinking Zerotea. Bring water to a light simmer, not boiling. Once water is ready, allow tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Drink hot or cold. You can add raw local honey for the health benefits and taste. TIP: The longer you brew the tea the more antioxidants are released; steeping long enough is important. Follow this routine for 14 or 28 days at a time and see the benefits. Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take up to 5 capsules at bedtime with 8-12 oz of water, on an empty stomach for 7-10 days or until desired cleanse has been attained. I was diagnosed with delayed stomach empyting and have been deathly nauseaous. My gastic specialist prescribed Reglan - 3 times daily and protonix - twice daily - before meals. In order to complete the cleanse - how do I deal with the rx and the cleanse time table? I want to complete the cleanse because I realize that the rx is only for a limited time and that it isn't actually SOLVING the problem. Is this cleanse compatible with this rx? (For a long time, I thought that the nausea was from my gall bladder surgery nearly a year ago. Drs kept telling me that "my system was still adjusting to no gall bladder.") My diagnosis was confirmed by a stomach study scan. My physical therapist recommended your cleanse.
Just a note to tell you that I found Ms. Galivan’s comments truly offensive and misleading. Clearly, she knows nothing about UNI KEY nor the mission of the founder who is a stage IV cancer survivor. I hope this poster is aware that there is a free of charge FB page in which expert advice is generously given on a variety of non-UNI KEY product issues and concerns. NOBODY in the business offers this type of service. I think Galivan’s comments were very out of line. What good is identifying an issue without providing the solution, for heaven’s sake? As a nutritional professional myself, I would never recommend a product with 50 billion CFUs which is a recipe for constipation if ever there was one. In addition, I would never have the gall to post the name of a competing product on UNI KEY’s site, either. How rude and spiteful.
If any of these symptoms occur, stop your cleanse immediately and see your doctor. These symptoms have the risk of leading to heart failure and digestive damage if the cleanse is continued. An enema or colon cleanse used occasionally poses little risk for a healthy individual. But overuse can quickly lead to chronic constipation or even bowel injury.
