What's pizza made of? White flour and cheese. White flour and water is used to make wallpaper paste. And cheese (casein), at one time, was the primary ingredient in Elmer's Glue (thus Elmer's picture on the front). Ergo, when you eat pizza, you're eating wallpaper paste and Elmer's Glue -- a real stick to your "ribs" kind of meal. Is it any wonder it doesn't pass through your colon cleanly and easily?
Increasing both soluble and insoluble fiber can help with a wide range of gastrointestinal problems, including constipation, diverticular disease, and colorectal cancer. The typical American consumes about 15 grams a day, but you need closer to 25 grams to 30 grams. If there are no gluten issues, add sources of both insoluble fiber, such as cereal and whole grains, and soluble fiber, such as bran, some fruit, some vegetables, and oatmeal.
A gut cleanse is a necessary step in repairing a poor gut. Why? A good cleanse will replace foods that aggravate and compromise our gastrointestinal health with gut-friendly foods that do three things – ‘heal and seal’ the gastrointestinal tract; provide probiotics for healthy gut bacteria; and provide fibre for bowel health. Think of the gut like a car. A gut cleanse is like a service, and gut-friendly foods and supplements are like premium fuel.
If constipation is a cause of your weight gain, then Bile Builder is a must-have to cleanse that toxic bile and get toxins flowing out through your colon again so you can lose the weight. Fat cells that are loaded with toxins won’t leave until the toxins have a way to be eliminated; these fat cells are a protective mechanism of your body so you don’t get sick from all the toxins circulating.
In addition to all of the problems we've already discussed, a sluggish bowel also has a major health impact on another body system: your lymph. Think for a moment, if you will, of your colon as your body's drain pipe. If the drain is clogged, not only will waste not be eliminated, but when you flush the toilet, the drain backs up and spills over befouling the entire bathroom. And that's exactly the point which leads us to a discussion of waste removal from the body and the lymph system.

Like aloe, senna contains naturally occurring anthraquinone glycosides, but in the case of senna they are primarily sennosides rather than aloe-emodin. Sennosides are strong stimulant laxatives that soften stools and increase muscle contractions of the intestines, thereby increasing bowel movements. Senna usually starts to work in three to nine hours. Anthraquinone laxatives, such as senna, work in two ways. First, they help assist with constipation by increasing the amount of water and electrolytes in the intestine. They also work by stimulating contractions of the colon muscles, which helps to accelerate the passage of stools. Senna is considered second only to aloe in terms of its laxative potential. Its effectiveness as a purgative has been supported by centuries of anecdotal reports as well as modern human and animal studies.
The colon plays a vital role in how your body processes food. As your digestive system breaks down the food you eat, it enters into the colon in a mostly liquid state. The colon performs two significant roles at this stage of the digestive process. First, bacteria in your colon break down the food further. Second, it absorbs additional nutrients and liquid. Leftover food waste is then turned into feces and stored in the descending colon until it is ready to be expelled from the body.
So glad I found this, Iv been thinking about it for a while. I have probably got IBS. Going in for a colonoscopy because of constipation and runny bowels plus lots of bleeding. I will wait till after my results of course but I will definitely give it a go now. I imagined it would be lying on a bed with my butt sticking out for all to see and somewhat uncomfortable and maybe a bit painful. But after reading this Im not worried at all. Thanks for sharing your experience.
In the colon, water is squeezed out and absorbed from food remnants, leaving behind a mixture of non-digestible fibre, bacteria, bile acids and cells that have been scraped off the intestinal wall. If bowel transit time is too slow, bacteria and fungi proliferate and toxins are reabsorbed. A healthy colon eliminates waste within six to 18 hours after every meal this means having two or three bowel movements a day.
