In truth, there are very few reported complaints about herbal laxatives when properly used. Problems occur when people dramatically overdose on such products, or more significantly, when manufacturers promote them for inappropriate uses.  For example, several years ago, there was an incident in which a healthy young woman in her 30's used a "dieter's tea" product (a senna based drink) to lose weight. She died for no apparent reason, and the doctor's said it must have been the senna in the tea.

I was using iodized sea salt and took the time to juice everything else myself. Would have been nice if he specified this in the recipe. Following the session, I didn’t feel very different. I’d once read a post-colonic account where the writer recalled feeling so clean afterward that she craved nothing other than water and cucumbers. Well, that wasn’t the case for me! I was hungry! Sandra said that I should stick to soft food for the rest of the day so I had some boiled squash and rice, but I was craving a thick slice of pizza.
