Pau d'arco (Tabebuia heptophylla) comes from the rain forests of Brazil and other areas of South America. The active component is lapachol. Pau d'arco works well in the formula because of its proven ability to help control Candida.35 This amazing herb also nourishes the body's defense system and helps protect against pathogenic organisms. It has been used for centuries to improve immune function, detoxify, and reduce pain throughout the body -- especially in the joints. Research has shown that it contains a natural antibacterial agent, has a healing effect on the entire body, cleanses the blood, and kills viruses. Pau d'arco has been used as a treatment for AIDS, allergies, all infections and inflammations, anemia, asthma, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, as a blood builder, bronchitis, all types of cancer,36 colitis, cystitis, smoker's cough, diabetes, eczema, fistulas, gastritis, gonorrhea, hemorrhages, hernias, Hodgkin's disease, liver disease, leukemia, lupus, multiple sclerosis, osteomyelitis, Parkinson's disease, polyps, prostatitis, psoriasis, rheumatism, skin cancer, skin sores, spleen infections, snake bites, ulcers, varicose veins, warts, and plain old wounds.
The bottom line is that it is unlikely the senna was responsible, and on top of that, I am not advocating anything close to the amount of senna consumed when drinking multiple cups of dieter's tea. In the colon corrective we're now talking about, senna, along with the aloe and cascara sagrada, are merely colon cleansing stimulants for proper colon function. No one has ever suffered a problem from them when used in that regard.
Your digestive system is the main entry point of outside toxins, and as such is an important barrier between you and environmental toxins and invaders. It makes sense then that 80 percent of your immune system is in your gut. Your gut-associated lymphatic tissue (GALT) and microbiome are components of your immune system that are attached to the mucosal lining of your intestines. When that lining is covered with old, rotting feces, it makes it difficult for your immune system to do its job, and as a result, you catch colds and flus more easily, and the gut is virtually defenseless against invading parasites and Candida fungal overgrowth.
I have had Crohn's disease for almost 40 years. For the last decade it's been fairly well controlled re: gastric symptoms via diet and low-dose naltrexone (LDN) -- though my immune system problems are not. After two surgeries long ago I'm missing a good-sized chunk of my small intestine. As I have a short bowel I have AT LEAST two bowels movements a day, very often three, sometimes four (usually not diarrhea). My colon has not been involved in the disease.
A good herbal-based, intestinal corrective provides both cleansing and healing to the entire gastro-intestinal system. It stimulates peristalsis (the muscular movement of the colon). It halts putrefaction and disinfects, soothes, and heals the mucous membrane lining of your entire digestive tract. Entirely herbal, with no harsh, habit-forming chemicals, an effective activating formula will also help improve digestion, relieve gas and cramps, increase the flow of bile (which in turn cleans the gallbladder, bile ducts, and liver), destroy Candida albicans overgrowth and promote healthy intestinal flora, destroy and expel intestinal parasites, and increase gastrointestinal circulation. The herbs used in this type of formula are also antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal.
I had a metal on metal hip implant 7 years ago and have high levels of cobalt and chromium in my blood and urine. I am presently been treated with IVIg, Octogam, for an autoimmue disease, CIDP, which was caused from the metal toxicity. Since this toxicity has been in my body for a number of years and has most likely entered cells, tissue and organs, are there any proven therapies to remove the cobalt and chromium from the body. Any feed back would be much appreciated.
I do my Colinics is 3 sessions. I’m actually going for my last session this morning. Thus far, I’ve lost 3 lbs but also feel so much cleaner. I don’t feel bloated like I used to anymore which is awesome. While doing this, I’ve learned a lot about changing my eating habits. Each session I go to, the nurse always informs me of the what and what not to eat. My first session felt like I was giving birth again along with all the cramping. I literally asked for a epidural 😝. But the 2nd session was much better. I had a technique that eliminated the cramping by doing a mid sit up. By doing this it pretty much shot everything out lol. More came out in the 2nd session than the 1st. Can’t wait to see what the 3rd session will bring. Would I recommend this to anyone? YES.
Step one of the best colon cleanse routine will be to either change or rework your diet so that it is more beneficial to your help. Any comprehensive colon cleanse needs to start with a detoxifying diet, allowing you eliminate the foods that place a burden upon your colon, such as those that move more slowly throughout the digestive track. These foods are switched out with other options that are richer in fiber, thus allowing the colon to be more easily cleaned. Some of the fiber-rich foods that you may consider eating as part of your detoxifying diet include:
There is a hole in the chair/bed where the speculum and water come from. It is this same hole where all of the waste goes down. There is a view-tube beside you so that you can see everything that passes out of you. What surprised me was that after the initial “movement” (which was pretty standard) there was not that much that actually came out of me. No giant clumps the size of an orange, mostly just the clean water coming out exactly as it came in. After awhile, this made me anxious. Why wasn’t anything happening? Then, I had another smaller movement, but that was it for the length of the procedure. If anything else came out, it wasn’t visible. I had the expectation that something major would be removed and there would be a lot of movement over the course of the treatment. In retrospect, I think that having that expectation was detrimental. It caused me unnecessary anxiety during the process.
This depends on your symptoms but generally you should commit to a cleanse once or twice a year, under the care of a health professional. Post-antibiotic treatment is a must, as you need to nourish the gut and replace all of the healthy bacteria that’s been wiped out by antibiotics. After holidays is also a good time to cleanse as alcohol and treat foods wreak havoc on gut bacteria and gut lining. Post-cleanse you should continue to include gut-friendly foods and nutrients as a part of your regular diet.
Our bodies, including our digestive system, slow down in the evening hours as they prepare to rest and rejuvenate. When we put food into our stomachs late in the evening, there are fewer digestive enzymes available to facilitate proper digestion. This can result in undigested food sitting in your stomach for long periods of time, which can result in a disturbed sleep.
It is important to increase your water intake while taking Super Colon Cleanse because the product is formulated with psyllium husk powder. If say, you experienced unusual side effects such as loose stool, abdominal pain, or diarrhea, stop taking Super Colon Cleanse immediately and have yourself checked by a doctor. Something more significant could be going on.
If you are not sure whether a colon cleanse problem is safe or advisable in your particular situation, the best thing you can do is talk to a doctor or health professional about what options you might have. It may seem a little embarrassing to have this conversation, but trust us when we say that they’ve heard it all before, and when it comes to anything in life, you should always put your health first. The last thing you want to do is start a colon cleanse in order to increase your wellbeing or weight loss chances, and find that you have simply made your situation worse.
These “Frankenfoods” are loaded with artificial ingredients that have names you can’t even pronounce. And they’re missing one key ingredient – fiber. So they sit in your gut for days or even weeks, fermenting and rotting instead of digesting and providing nutrients. Constipation, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, bloating and weight gain are just some of the results.

For many people with colon related issues, like irritable bowel syndrome and celiac disease, gluten wreaks havoc on the digestive system. Even if you don't have one of these conditions, gluten may still contribute to inflation in your gut and colon. If you don’t want to cut out all grains from your diet, there are some great gluten-free alternatives like quinoa that also contain fiber and colon-friendly nutrients.
Additionally, Epsom salt is not required for the colon cleanse, and is only used for the 5-day liver cleanse protocol as seen here: https://www.globalhealingcenter.com/liver-cleanse-kit.html#instructions. Epsom Salt is used on Day 5 (flush day) to relax and allow the bile ducts of the liver to release toxic sludge from the liver and gallbladder. On the morning of Day 6 (the day after the cleanse), you will take 6 capsules of Oxy-Powder to ensure that your system is expediting the release of toxins.

All of these foods contain high amounts of fiber, calcium, and vitamin D, which are great at keeping your digestive system working properly and preventing constipation. But if you’re not used to a diet rich in fiber or calcium, introducing lots of these types of foods at once can lead to gastrointestinal distress in the form of diarrhea, bloating, or constipation. If you’re planning on a dietary colon cleanse, add more of these foods to your diet little by little over time instead of all at once.
