Maybe that’s because of the days prior to the flush day has to be well prepared to have succes on the flush day. I therefore have difficulty finding a good protocol for someone with bowel issues/adrenal fatigue (bloating, constipation, gas; all due to adrenal and thyroid issues that cause metabolic and endocrine problems and of course the Peutz Jeghers syndrome)
The bottom line is that it is unlikely the senna was responsible, and on top of that, I am not advocating anything close to the amount of senna consumed when drinking multiple cups of dieter's tea. In the colon corrective we're now talking about, senna, along with the aloe and cascara sagrada, are merely colon cleansing stimulants for proper colon function. No one has ever suffered a problem from them when used in that regard.
It also uses more neurotransmitters to digest and process this junk food, leading to an imbalance in your “feel good” hormones, if not a deficiency. When you are under stress, these hormones are signaled by the brain to “speed up” and this chemical surge causes everything from anxiety, insomnia, trouble swallowing, and the “butterflies” in your stomach, to diarrhea, cramping, and neurotransmitter deficiencies.
We need both soluble and insoluble fibre for colon cleansing every day. Soluble fibre dissolves in water whereas insoluble does not. Insoluble fibre is especially good for improving elimination and preventing constipation. Soluble fibre increases beneficial bacteria, which produce natural antibiotics that eliminate potentially harmful bacteria such as Salmonella, Campylobacter and E. coli. Researchers believe adequate and consistent levels of healthy intestinal flora can also help prevent colon cancer. Soluble fibre is also important for binding cholesterol and aiding its passage through the body.
Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed with this. I feel like it really didn't do anything at all and I was actually looking forward to trying this detox cleanse because of the results it promised. However, nothing changed and I still feel the same as I did before I even tried it. Maybe this is just one of those fake "sugar pills" and I wasted my money. The bottle says "flatten stomach or your money back" but the product did not flatten my stomach even in the slightest :(

Probiotic foods are fermented foods that contain beneficial bacteria. They tend to have a slightly (or intense) sour taste and are also known for helping to curb cravings! Try sauerkraut, kimchi, natural yogurt and kefir! These foods help populate the gut with more good bacteria, giving our gut a stronger fighting power and ability to function well. It's also a good idea to take a probiotic supplement. Switch up the brand (and strains of bacteria) from time to time to give your body a variety of bacteria.
I get colonics every six months. I usually do them in three sessions increments. I love them. I have heard over doing them van be bad as they do flush out good bacteria but I think doing them as part of a spring cleaning and cleanse is very beneficial. I would highly recommend them. You just reminded me that it’s time for me to schedule my series. I’m glad you tried it. I’ve never done it for weight loss so I have never actually weighed myself. I will have to try it. I do feel like I have more energy and almost cleaner. If you can even feel that! Ha! Thanks for sharing! The dangers of colon cleansing
